Sky Coaching

Service-Sky-Coaching

Sky Coaching © was developed by Daniel Dupont to help actors with a busy schedule continue to train when they have time. Here is how it works. DDA sends the actor a scene or monologue. The actor works on it, tapes it, and sends the tape in to DDA. Daniel reviews the video and sends notes back to the actor, or sometimes a phone call to discuss details. The actor makes the adjustments, tapes it again, and submits it once more to DDA. Daniel reviews that 2nd submission and sends back a 2nd set of notes. That concludes one Sky Coaching session. DDA works out a general schedule with every actor and allows them to send in their work whatever time of day or night, in any time zone that works best for them.

Sky Coaching © removes the requirements of arranging your life choices to match those of others in order to continue training. Sky Coaching © is very similar to Private Coaching in that the work sent in is the only focus Daniel has when reviewing the submission and giving notes, whereas Private Coaching requires a commitment to a set Day and Time. It is not always possible to make that happen.

Sky Coaching © also opens up the opportunity to work on more complicated material. Because there is no due date or meeting time, actors can take as much time as they want to work on material before sending it in (mindful of your purchase term). It is also common to do an ‘instinct check’, where actors get the first submission done quickly, as this reflects the timeframe of most audition scenarios, and then spend extra time incorporating Daniel’s notes into the second submission. It is also common for actors to work on the same monologue multiple times in order to get it exactly the way they want it before moving on to another piece.
